# Chapter 25

I still wear bandages, but after much urging, I was allowed to return to work today.

“How is everyone?”

“Olivia, are you okay?”

“I heard you were hurt badly!”

Natasha stroked her cheeks as she stared at Edmund.

“Why would you put yourself at risk for a manager like that?”

“Don’t forget that this manager is the one who pays your salary.”

“Heh, Your Highness is really cruel! You were hit by a bullet, you should have rested for at least a month! Just a week? That’s stingy!”

“Blame my little one. I told her to rest more, but she insisted on coming back.”

Natasha looked at me with wide eyes.

“Lying down makes me feel embarrassed.”

Is this because I am a former Korean student?

“If I were you, I would take advantage of the opportunity and drain His Highness’s money!”

“Don't you work?”

Edmund frowned, and everyone returned to their places.

Anyway, everyone is good.

My office in a week. I felt strange because of the absence.

Eclat, with her sexy charm, sat next to me. Wait, isn't this Becky's place?

“While you were gone, Ecla took over your work.”

Dante noticed my puzzled expression and spoke.

“Ecla?”

“With the trade starting, I felt like I should take care of this instead of waiting for you.”

Ikla took out a file from her drawer.

It was the trade plan with Aryan and Nikita, which I was working on with the Umfa redevelopment.

I noticed a change in my office, and some of my things are on Ecla's desk.

"but!"

I'm helping! I'm back now!

I looked at Edmund, but he started the meeting without interest, as if it did not concern him.

“His Majesty the Emperor would like a medical project for foreigners.”

“Health care is always an issue.”

“A public health center may be the easiest solution.”

“Umpha is under redevelopment, so why not build one there?”

“A health center is a popular idea, which the Lucid team might consider. I want to change the system itself, so that everyone can benefit, not just foreigners.”

Everyone was silent at Edmund's words. If only I had a great idea now!

Some ideas were suggested, but the meeting ended without much results.

Since Eclat took my work, I had nothing to do, so I flipped into my drawer.

“Olivia, can you arrange these papers?”

Ecla smiled as she passed me a stack of papers.

“You're free now, aren't you?”

I'm free because you took my job!

I felt something strange, but I couldn't argue, so I just nodded.

At lunchtime, a stranger sat across from me and said hello.

"How are you?"

His shiny silver hair caught my attention first. His handsome face was completely strange.

"I?"

I was surprised, and he laughed softly, his red eyes narrowing.

I can't forget such a handsome man!

“I'm Gallerhead. Perhaps you know me as the one who administered first aid to you?”

"Yes!"

Edmund said he formed an ambulance squad. This is it!

"Thank you very much!"

So, the doctor who treated me was a foreigner.

Maybe it's that guy from the festival?

I looked at him for a moment, then shook my head. The world is not that small.

“Is there something on my face?”

"no!"

I ate the salad greedily out of embarrassment.

"Eat slowly! Moving your arm may hurt."

“I'm totally fine.”

Honestly, it hurt a little.

“Come to the ambulance squad after lunch.”

"Yes?"

“The wound is stitched, I would like to examine it.”

"Good."

I nodded, and Gallerhead smiled brightly and left the restaurant.

“Very handsome, isn't he?”

Natasha poked me in the side, and other female employees added: “Handsome, smart, and kind!”

“Right, very cool!”

Galerhead seems to have won the hearts of the female employees in my absence.

I laughed and supported their conversation.

After lunch, I went to the ambulance squad, Galerheid said.

Knock—knock—

“Yes,” came a soft voice from inside.

His voice is beautiful too.

"Welcome."

“Hey, Olivia. Wait a minute.”

Galerheid was wrapping a bandage around another employee's ankle.

“I'm done. Ankle hurts once, it hurts again, so be careful.”

“Sh, thanks!”

The employee came out with red cheeks, and I realized his popularity.

But he is less handsome than Edmund.

The most important thing is character, right?

I sat on a circular chair without a back and laughed.

“Okay, take off your clothes.”

"What?"

“Wound, I need to see it...”

“Ah, wait a minute.”

I turned around and unbuttoned my uniform. Fortunately, I was wearing an undershirt.

The bandages previously covered my chest and arms, but now they are only around my shoulders.

Examine the wound carefully and apply ointment.

“This is a foreign herbal ointment, better than the imperial ointments.”

“It smells good.”

It smelled like wildflowers, not sticky.

“If you like it, can I give you some?”

"truly?"

“Apply it regularly at home, it will reduce scarring.”

Dispense the ointment and carefully wrap the bandages.

His face came closer while wrapping the bandages, and I felt the smell of herbs mixed with the smell of medicine.

“Um, raise your arm a little.”

"thus?"

It works, and I smell it? This is a bit strange.

I moved my arms seriously.

"How is it? Is there any discomfort?"

“No, very comfortable!”

"Then I'll tie it on with this compression. Keep the bandage on today, and you can take it off tomorrow."

This was good news.

At Edmund's palace, Amalie or the palace doctor helped me, but at the temple, I would have had difficulty.

“Come every day at this time, I will sterilize the wound and apply ointment.”

“Thanks again, you saved me.”

“I am a doctor, I did what I had to do.”

Gallerhead replaced the bandages and smiled contentedly.

“By the way, do you have a license?”

I couldn't find any doctors my age when I searched.

“Actually, I didn’t have the money to register the license, but His Highness helped me recently.”

“Ah, like that then.”

Registration of the license also costs.

“Many people die from simple wounds or colds due to lack of money. So I wanted to become a doctor.”

Here, treatment and medications are expensive, and many cannot afford them.

If there was health insurance like in my country...

“Health insurance?”

"Yes?"

“No, nothing.”

Not only foreigners, but many poor people die because they cannot receive treatment. They go to the temple to pray instead of a doctor, or they borrow from moneylenders like Blackwood, and then give up their lives in debt.

This project is not only great for foreigners, but for everyone! Edmund will definitely love it.

“I'll go now!”

“Okay, be careful.”

Gallerhead gently opened the door. When I walked out, I was met with two more red eyes.

“Your Highness?”

Edmund took my arm and began examining me.

“Are you injured?”

“No, I just came to change the bandages.”

I laughed.

“I thanked the doctor too.”

“Ah, okay.”

Edmund sighed and slowly let go of my hand.

Galerhyde smiled softly and said, “Your Highness seems to care about Olivia very much.”

"Not true! Absolutely!"

Edmund shouted. Did he have to react like that?

I looked at his back as he left and muttered something angrily.
