# 13
---
Contrary to what I was consoling myself with that I had survived, the next day I began to feel stares penetrating the back of my head forcefully.
Those looks were so intense that I felt like my head was going to be pierced.
I was guessing so, but the person with those looks was none other than Lloyd Hilderius.
Although I tried as much as possible not to go out and work inside the tent, I would sometimes feel those looks, and when I looked back, I would find Lloyd staring at me with a frightening face.
When receiving food, hanging laundry, transporting luggage, and even when treating patients; His terrifying looks never ended.
If we add to that the harassment of other therapists, it was causing me chronic headaches.
"Hey, you! Medium Healer!"
The advanced therapist with disheveled hair called out to me in great annoyance, while I was calmly treating a patient.
“Yes, did you call me?”
Since the healer community is based on strict ranks, I had to answer “yes” and go if someone higher in rank called me.
“Wash all these covers.”
He pointed his finger at a huge pile of blankets stained with blood and pus.
This work is usually done by freshmen, or it is group work after work.
More importantly, there were plenty of clean linens, so there was no reason to wash them now.
“I will do that later. I am now taking care of the injured person.”
At my response, the advanced healer looked at Mika who was helping me, and ordered maliciously:
“Hey, newbie, take care of her. You have to learn something here.”
Because of this absurd matter, Mika's face began to turn red with anger.
Maybe he's doing it to provoke Mika.
If Mika rebels against the advanced healer again, she may have her pay cut for disobeying orders, or in the worst case, she may be imprisoned.
I quickly turned my head and moved my lips to Mika without a sound:
'Be patient!'
Mika seemed to see the movement of my lips, and her facial expression changed as if she was saying: ‘No... but!’.
'I told you to be patient!'
Because of the urgency of my mouth movements, she eventually approached the patient looking like a sad puppy.
I quickly turned my face and smiled at the advanced therapist, saying:
“Okay, I'll go wash the sheets, Healer.”
I headed towards the well carrying the dirty blankets.
Since there are no washing machines in this world, I had to wash manually.
This means using my hands and feet to scrub vigorously.
Oh, even when I was new I only washed the sheets a few times, and here I am.
I pulled the covers, smelling of blood and pus, into a huge bowl and poured water over them.
Then I put in a lot of soap powder, rolled up my hands and feet, and started running over the covers as hard as if they were the disheveled face of that healer.
You filthy haired bastard! You force talented staff to work hard just to annoy them!
No, the worst person is the bald center director! He sends me and a newbie to a place like this just because I was reckless and I'm precious, damn it!
My hatred shifted from the disheveled therapist to the director of the Geronia Center who sent me here.
Because of my strong kicks, the dirty sheets started to become bright white.
While I was washing the covers by running over them forcefully, I once again felt those terrifying looks penetrating the back of my head.
When I looked out of the corner of my eye, I found Lloyd standing in the distance with his arms crossed and staring at me with an expression that suggested he would kill at any moment.
'Ah...there he is looking at me again.'
At first, his looks terrified me to the point of trembling.
But it went beyond that.
I'm already angry with the advanced therapist and the center director, and tired of doing the laundry, so I'm starting to get annoyed by these murderous looks.
“Take this!”
I started running over the covers violently as if they were Lloyd.
When I hung the white sheets on the ropes, Lloyd's gaze disappeared.
The sky began to take on the red of the sunset above the flying blankets.
While I was cleaning the bowl and getting ready to go back to the tent, Mika came running and crying.
“Miss Kay...! Ah, I’m sorry. It’s all my fault.”
It seemed that she had suffered a lot inside the tent, as her uniform was wet with the sweat of fatigue.
“Ahh, that advanced healer kept berating me for my skill, telling me to just be a maid and constantly move potion boxes. Ahhh.”
Oh, you damned advanced wizard.
If things with Lloyd go well, I will return to Geronia and take the promotion test immediately.
Then I will become his boss and make him suffer.
I held my hand tightly.
I received a simple dinner, sat down at a wooden table in the courtyard, and began to eat.
Suddenly Mika opened her mouth while chewing her food:
“By the way, about Mr. Lloyd. At first I thought he was staring at you because of his interest in you, right?”
Mika looked out of the corner of her eye at Lloyd, who suddenly appeared and stood far away, staring at me, then she continued:
“But if he cared, he wouldn’t be staring at me with killing looks like that.”
Of course, any madman would admire such killing looks.
“Is it possible...!”
I stopped eating and looked at Mika, and she quickly continued:
“Did you kill Mr. Lloyd's parents?”
Hmmm, it was a question so close to the truth that it interested me.
Before going back in time, the evil one who possessed my face poisoned Lloyd's parents.
“Or are you an enemy of the Hilderius family?”
This is also true, I have completely destroyed the family.
But they were questions I couldn't answer.
When I didn't react, Mika started imagining and predicting to herself.
She started coming up with strange hypotheses, like that I was dating Lloyd and cheated on him, or that I had run away with the Hilderius family treasure.
I finished my meal in silence and returned to the tent, leaving Mika jabbering about her strange hypotheses.
It seemed that Mika wasn't the only one who noticed Lloyd's looks, others were whispering about me.
Since there was no place to hide or escape, I gave up and decided to focus on my work.
While I was treating a soldier with a wound in his arm inside the tent, a huge shadow appeared in front of me.
I raised my head to see what was the news, and found Lloyd with his huge body standing there.
Although I was used to his looks, seeing him up close made my heart tremble for fear that he would kill me now.
He raised his hand. I closed my eyes tightly, thinking he was going to kill me.
Time passed and I did not feel pain, so I slowly opened my eyes to find him extending his hand towards me.
“What… is wrong?”
When I asked, he brought his hand closer and said:
“I ask you for treatment.”
There was a very small scratch on his hand.
What? This man, there's someone with a broken arm in front of him, and he's asking me to treat a trivial scratch like this?
I looked in amazement at the small scratch, and the advanced healer who had been observing the situation ran out of breath and said:
"Master Lloyd! I...I'll treat you! This mediocre healer doesn't know anything."
Well, if you'll solve the problem, that's my pleasure.
I shrugged and wanted to turn around, but Lloyd said in a stern voice:
“You heal me.”
Lloyd's gaze was directed at me.
After the advanced healer withdrew with an embarrassed face following Lloyd's refusal.
I looked again at the scratch, it was really just a small scratch.
It was as if a leaf had hurt his hand.
'I guess this doesn't need treatment...?'
But the Lloyd in front of me was too big and scary for me to say that.
I stood up and said:
“Follow me.”
Lloyd followed me quietly.
I pulled the semblance out of the drug store.
When I held Lloyd's injured hand, he trembled for a moment.
While I was applying the disinfectant to the cotton, I said in a practical but gentle voice as possible:
“It will hurt a little.”
I saw up close his large hand, full of small and large wounds.
Are they evidence of the many battles he fought?
While I was applying the disinfectant, I felt his gaze penetrating me.
I ignored his looks and placed a bandage over the wound.
“The treatment is over.”
When I said this, he said with amazement:
“Is that all?”
So, what more do you want?
I looked at his face with an expression asking what he wanted, then quickly lowered my gaze.
Who knows, he might get my head cut off because I treated him like that...
Lloyd said while looking at my face carefully:
“Aren't you going to use healing magic?”
Crazy, do you want healing magic for a scratch like this?
I wanted to say something, but I was in a weak position, so I answered calmly and objectively:
“We only use healing magic for minor scratches in emergency situations. Unless the situation is serious, like a knight who had a sword pierce his arm.”
At my response, he suddenly pulled the sword from his waist.
Will he kill me because I didn't use healing magic?
I shrank involuntarily and closed my eyes.
How bad!
The sound of flesh being pierced was heard.
Then Lloyd's low voice hit my eardrums:
“Treat me.”
I opened my eyes and found that this madman had stabbed his hand with his sword, creating a deep wound.
The wound was so deep that white bone could be seen.
Lloyd held out his hand, dripping with bright red blood, in front of my face.
...Isn't this man completely crazy? They say he's been berserk with blood lately, and it looks like he's really gone mad.
I quickly grabbed his hand and shouted:
[Healing!]°
A bright light appeared from under my hand and the wound began to heal.
I tried to avoid Lloyd's gaze, which was watching me sharply.
Cold sweat began to drip from my forehead.
He spoke while looking at my healing magic:
“You are healing using ‘mana’, not ‘holy power’.”
Wow, could he tell that just by looking?
Ordinary people usually don't know whether I use holy power or mana when casting healing magic.
In order to know this, he must be a very high level magician.
None of the magicians, priests, or healers I met knew this before. Indeed, he is a champion who is gifted in magic as well.
I hesitated and then answered him:
“I learned it like this from a young age.”
There was silence for a moment after my answer.
Then he opened his mouth again and asked:
“Are your parents alive?”
