# Chapter 28: 28
The early dawn after the banquet.
Radis returned to the Tilrod House mansion with a pale face.
With how sickly his complexion looked, even Irene asked him.
—Milady… Are you okay?
Radis staggered into his room without responding.
Looking at Radis's back, Irene screamed inwardly.
—Something happened…!
By noon that same day, practically everyone knew that Radis had only returned home early in the morning.
Including Margaret.
She jumped out of her seat without waiting a single second and marched straight towards Radis' room.
When Margaret kicked open the door, Radis woke up with a start and stared at Margaret as she sat up.
—Can't you play?
Margaret usually was about to slap Radis, but instead she flinched.
This was because Radis had gotten out of bed and was staring at Margaret's hand.
—Are you going to try it again?
Cold eyes that contained no emotions.
That look reminded Margaret of the horrible consequences of when she tried to hit Radis the other day.
She just fell because she couldn't overcome Radis' strength, but it wasn't really a trick that Margaret locked herself in her room after that.
In fact, Margaret suffered a severe back sprain and could not move for days.
—The state of the lady's back... is almost like the back of an elderly person.
That's what the doctor who went home said while shaking his head.
—Madam, even if you live in luxury, you have to do a little exercise. He has no muscles and his entire body is soft. Now he only has a small back sprain, but if this continues, he will suffer so much that even a small trauma to his back will prevent him from moving.
With her pride thus wounded, Margaret threw a cup of tea in the doctor's face and threw the healer out of her house.
His back soon improved, but the hardships he endured could not be put into words.
Margaret didn't want to suffer like that again.
So, instead of hitting Radis with her raised hand, Margaret pointed at his face.
—Why do you look up with so much pride?
—So, did I do something wrong?
—My God, you are completely crazy! You came home at dawn and now you say you didn't do anything wrong? How promiscuous!
Radis was amazed.
—Promiscuous? Weren't you the one who forced Huber on me? Who was the person who told me to do it right?
—Sí, te dije que lo hicieras bien, pero ¿Quién te dijo que volvieras a casa por la mañana?
Radis sighed deeply.
He was already dealing with enough confusing thoughts, but when Margaret forced her way in, he felt like his head was about to explode.
Other than that, it was not in good condition.
It was natural since the mana was poured into a body that did not have even a drop of mana beforehand.
Radis shook his head.
—Nothing happened, so stop. You and Jurich left first and I was stuck in a difficult situation, so let's say I owe this to the Cradium Guild. So now...
—Don't lie!
—…
—Ha! How can you lie so well without even stopping to take a breath? Disgusting! Forget it, just remember this: I don't care where you are or what you do, but if you come home with something in your stomach...
Margaret screamed at the top of her lungs.
—You will die in my hands!
Radis's eyes widened.
All kinds of emotions stirred in his heart.
She couldn't understand why Margaret thought like that, why she criticized Radis for being "promiscuous" as if she hadn't told her own daughter to get a rich man.
She pretended to be a strict mother to her daughter even though she never cared about her at all, and now she acted like she was worried enough to scold her daughter for being in some kind of trouble because she deserved it.
Radis noticed.
In his previous life, he did not think it was unfair or strange even when he experienced Margaret's arbitrary behavior.
Even ridiculous actions were left out and labeled as "motherly affection" to justify them.
But in reality, there was never a single grain of affection there.
Margaret just chattered and acted arbitrarily and carelessly.
And Radis always indulged in her whims while blaming herself as she suffered.
Realizing this, Radis felt nauseated by Margaret's hostility.
With his teeth clenched to endure the nausea, Radis said firmly.
—That's not going to happen.
