# Chapter 12
"What …?"
Because of the sound of fireworks and people's cheers, I couldn't hear the man's voice clearly. When I frowned and asked him again after noticing the movement of his lips, he finally let go of my hand.
“Oh, my apologies. You looked like an angel with your beauty.”
The man scratched his silver hair and smiled gently, then bowed politely and turned to go.
Angel...huh? Alien wearing gloves?
Could he be sir?
“Wait, just a moment!”
I called him late and tried to sneak through the crowds of foreigners coming out of the palace, but his body had already disappeared into the crowd.
I ran after him, but my legs were still shaking, so I stumbled several times.
“Have you seen a man wearing gloves?”
"He was almost that tall! He's wearing white cotton gloves!"
I asked everyone I saw, but everyone shook their heads. The road became dark, and I was left standing alone like a fool.
“Stupid, stupid Olivia!”
What chance did I miss now? Someone who might be my master, and you let him get away like that! Why didn't I run after him immediately?
Out of anger, I kicked the ground to no avail.
“What are you doing there?”
“Your Highness?”
Edmund was panting and lightly wiping his sweat-damp hair.
Why is he here?
His black hair, darker than the night sky, was in an unusual state of disarray, as if something urgent had happened.
“I told you to rest, but you are enjoying the festival?”
He looked at me with an expression mixed with surprise and displeasure.
Well, don't I have the right to spend my day off as I want? But I didn’t dare say that, so I answered lightly: “I just wanted to get some fresh air.”
“What is this fresh air that you have been breathing for so long? I heard that you have been out since morning...”
Edmund stopped suddenly, as if realizing his mistake, and closed his mouth.
“Did you go to the temple looking for me?”
How did he know that I had been out since morning?
“No, I didn't!”
Edmund suddenly shouted and threw something into my lap.
It was a light blue bag, similar to those sold in Asian night markets, with a bland design that did not suit Edmund at all.
Why is he giving me this? Does he want me to throw him away? Does he think I'm trash?
"What is this?"
“…They said the wife of the delegation you saved gave this as a thank you gift.”
"Oh, really? It's beautiful."
The person you saved. It was the first time I saved someone.
She played with the soft fabric, opening and closing the zipper. It was handmade, but sturdy. Perfect for holding coins.
“Did you come looking for me for this?”
“No! Do I look unemployed to you?”
Edmund suddenly shouted, his face turning red to the neck, and muttering “Oh my God, how ridiculous” repeatedly.
Why shout if that's not the case? It hurts my ears.
“I just… today is the last day of the festival, I came to check! By the way, Natasha said I should give this to you, so I came!”
Oh, so it was by the way.
I didn't think Edmund would come especially for me. I felt embarrassed, so I began to examine the bag under the moonlight.
In the end, I lost someone who might have been my master, but the color of the bag was beautiful, and the embroidery was gorgeous. That alone made me feel better.
“Let's go.”
Since I couldn't stand here forever, we started walking together normally.
The night breeze was refreshing. Fortunately, I was walking behind Edmund. After a long day of walking around, I was covered in the smells of sweat, food, and dust.
But wasn't Edmund sweating just now? Why does it smell so fresh on the breeze?
"Are you well?"
While I was smelling myself, Edmund suddenly spoke. At that moment I was putting my nose under my armpit.
"… What do you do?"
Lucid said that Edmund suffers from an obsession with cleanliness. I pretended to stretch, turning my arms and head and smiling.
"You see, I'm strong! Very strong."
I showed my arm muscles and smiled.
“I am confident in my health.”
This is correct. Unlike Cha Yuna who had colds every winter, Olivia's body was strong.
Maybe because I'm a wooden doll, I look weak but I'm strong. I have never had a cold or a minor illness before. Living somewhere that gets cold air without catching a cold proves that.
“A strong person faints?”
“But it was different!”
Even if I'm strong, isn't it normal for me to be shocked when two people die in front of me? He doesn't seem to see anything strange about himself.
“Tch, go back inside.”
When I heard the sound of his breath, I looked around and realized that we were in front of the temple. When did we get together? Did he give me a ride?
“Thanks for giving me a ride...”
Before I could finish, Edmund started walking with his long legs.
“I was going this way, this is not a receipt.”
He said this firmly as if to prevent any misunderstanding, but the palace was in the opposite direction.
She looked at his back as he disappeared into the darkness, then entered the temple.
His scent still lingers in my nose.

Olivia's hair was blue and her eyes danced before his.
As he stared at people picking out bags, Edmund noticed a light blue bag that someone had left behind. Blue, like her color.
Honestly, he thought: “This is an opportunity to visit.” Even though he knew he had a lot of work to do, he moved immediately.
If she sees me coming, she might ask for another appointment.
The corner of his mouth rose as he turned towards the temple. His steps quickened.
The path from the palace to the temple was full of festival atmosphere. He thought that handing over the bag and walking around together wouldn't be a bad idea.
“Not here?”
The little priest shuddered under his sharp gaze and nodded.
“She came out, said her work was not finished.”
When he heard that Olivia was not in the temple, Edmund turned and started walking.
He remembered Olivia's face yesterday. He didn't expect it to collapse like this.
As her white face became paler, and her flowing hair fell out, he felt his heart falling as well.
However, you went to work?
Olivia didn't show up at the office today. If she was there, he wouldn't have to look for her...
I'm here to see the new employee...
He stopped suddenly, and the back of his neck turned red. Felix, who was following him, stopped as well.
“Your Highness, are you okay?”
"…no."
Edmund muttered softly and started walking again.
Felix followed without understanding.
Edmund quickened his steps. It was the last day of the festival, and the streets were crowded.
When the sky darkened, he couldn't find Olivia. He became nervous.
“Did she faint again?”
“No way. Maybe you went to the palace to see the fireworks?”
“Fireworks?”
His forehead wrinkled. To him, it was just explosives, and he didn't understand why people would gather to watch it. But Olivia could be clapping and admiring the shimmering colors, her eyes wide open.
Imagine her sideways face and she is amazed.
“Shall we go?”
Edmund did not answer Felix's question and began to move.
The entrance to the palace was crowded, but he saw Olivia immediately. While everyone was looking at the sky, she was the only one bent over and trembling.
Bang—bang bang—!
Understand why immediately. He himself had been through something like this before.
He couldn't stop the fireworks, but he thought about covering her ears.
As he approached, he saw a man approaching her. It's normal for someone to worry about someone in her condition. But…
"Wait! Stop there!"
Why is Olivia pursuing that man so eagerly?
"Have you ever seen a foreign man this tall? Wearing gloves!"
Why is she looking for him when she stumbles?
He suddenly felt angry.
