# Chapter 1
Edmond was in great distress now. If he was asked why, he wouldn't really have a good reason.
“Olivia, are you different than usual today?”
“Does it sound like it? In fact, I have a date after work today!”
Is there really a date?
Edmond gripped the papers in his hands tightly without realizing it, until the paper that should have been sealed with an imperial seal was crumpled.
"A date? With... who?"
When Dante asked the question, he immediately seemed to regret it, closing his mouth and looking at Edmond. His red eyes were burning with anger.
“With Mr. Garcelle”
When her small, thin lips spoke another man's name shyly, Edmond couldn't take it anymore.
"Olivia! Did you finish the work I assigned you yesterday?"
Edmond hit the desk hard and shouted, and his subordinates who were simply laughing shut their mouths at once.
Even in their eyes, it was clear that Edmond was in a state of extreme turmoil. On days like these, it was not wise for someone to open their mouth and attract the president's attention. They may be exposed to unnecessary criticism or deductions from their salaries, and this would be a disaster.
“Of course. I finished everything here.”
Olivia presented the paper with a smile, filled with rounded letters that looked like her. Edmond quickly grabbed the paper and began reading it hurriedly.
It was annoyingly perfect. Edmond did not find any defect in the papers, so he began looking for something else to comment on.
“What is this shelf in the office? Why is it arranged so messily? Olivia, tidy it up immediately!”
“Ah, Your Highness, I apologize. This is my duty starting today...”
Campbell, who was sitting in the doorway drowning in a sea of papers, replied in a voice tinged with tears.
“...damn”
Edmond muttered as if he had been in trouble after scolding the wrong person, while Campbell's face grew paler.
Time passed, and the sun gradually set. While everyone was leaving one by one, Olivia took out a small mirror from the drawer and began to arrange her hair.
She flipped her hair like this and like this, then smiled satisfied when she found the right hairstyle, and began to apply lipstick.
After brushing her wet lips together, Edmond shouted: “Olivia, bring last year’s tax settlement table by today!”
“What? But this work is scheduled for the end of the month!”
“Are you opposing me now?!”
“...No, sir.”
Olivia slumped her shoulders. When her elegant eyebrows lowered, a satisfied smile appeared on Edmond's lips.
But that smile didn't last long.
“Your Highness, here is the settlement table.”
“...Did you finish it already?”
“Of course. Don’t you know that I’m good at my job? Isn’t that why you chose me as your direct assistant?”
Her round blue eyes looked up at him with a bright smile.
“So, I'll leave now.”
“Wait a minute!!”
Edmond shouted eagerly, but Olivia quickly ran out of the office.
The shoulders of the others shrank, and some of them quietly slipped away.
“Are you ignoring me now?!”
As expected, an angry Edmond threw away the bundle of settlement tables in his hand.
“Your Highness...”
“Is this possible? Didn’t you ask me to go out on a date yesterday?!”
“But… haven’t you always ignored her calls?”
When Felix, the guardian knight, responded with a question, Edmond exclaimed: “It feels bad, it feels bad!”
Until yesterday, the girl who was constantly attached to him was now going on a date with another man, one of his subordinates in particular.
'Yes, it's just a bad feeling'
Edmond thought about this as he hit his desk. While Felix was shaking his head quietly as he saw cracks appearing on the desk made of Alistar wood, the strongest in the world.

I woke up to the sound of faint gunshots.
A dilapidated tent, worn-out furniture, everything in the room was strange.
And this is normal.
Because this was not the Korea I lived in. Rather, more precisely, it was not the world in which I lived.
In March, as I started my life as a student preparing for exams, my mother was diagnosed with stage 3 stomach cancer. At that moment when I felt desperate, a man came claiming to be my father.
“Cha Yuna, if you succeed in entering the Department of Political Science and Diplomacy at S University, I will ensure fair treatment for you and your mother.”
Until that moment, I didn't know that I had a father. My father was a man who could not give up the title of an ancient diplomatic family. As for my older brother, he failed to even get into a local university, so he came to me.
If I succeed, the costs of my mother's surgery and expensive chemotherapy will be covered. This reality alone motivated me to act. I slept two hours a day, and gave up any hobbies that others practiced.
My life as a student preparing for exams ended when the word “Congratulations on acceptance” appeared on the screen.
The day after admission, counting the zeros in the bank account and looking at my mother lying in the hospital room, I was on the bus home.
I heard a conversation between girls.
I didn't understand most of what they said, but it was about an online novel.
A book that had nothing to do with exams or essays was a rare thing for me. This piqued my curiosity.
I took out my phone as if I had been enchanted, clicked on a novel that was at the top of the weekly rankings, and started reading.
“Oh, he marries the heroine and becomes the crown prince, and the story ends. Happy ending, right?”
I am the one who always reads the end before the beginning. I felt satisfied with the happy, tight ending and started reading from the first episode.
The story was about foreigners who were marginalized in the empire, and a heroine who represented them, demonstrated her abilities and won the hero's heart. While I was reading eagerly, something happened.
Suddenly, my eyes lit up. When I turned towards the source of the light, I realized that a huge truck was rushing towards the bus, and at the same moment, I lost consciousness.
And when I opened my eyes, I was here, in this moment.
It seems that I have moved to another body.
“Ah, I found you”
A little boy approached, speaking with a strange accent, his hands stained with soot.
“Olivia, you were here.”
Olivia? I considered myself fairly intelligent, but no matter how hard I tried to remember, there was no such name in that novel. Who are you? Where am I? Before I could ask, I felt my body suddenly rise.
I was carried by the child's hand, swaying left and right. In the midst of that, I heard gunshots and people's screams. The smell of burning corpses filled the place, and the streets were stained with blood and corpses.
I tried to speak several times, but my mouth would not move. In this terrifying scene, the child held my hand tightly while running hard.
At first glance, he looked like he was five or six years old. I wanted to see his face again, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't move my head.
strange. Even if I am light, how can a small child carry me and run like this? While I was wondering, the child stopped, and finally I saw my reflection in a broken glass.
Light blue hair, and eyes exactly like his. Bright white face. Small, symmetrical nose and mouth. I was a beautiful doll on the surface.
dummy? I am not a hero, nor a villain, nor even a secondary character, but rather an inanimate thing? This is too much!
“What is it, little one?”
Men wearing military boots approached, looked at the little boy and laughed mockingly.
“There are still Fuglisi people in the capital.”
Voglisi people. When I heard that word, I felt my heart sink. You were right, it was the novel I was reading.
If I had known, I would have chosen a more peaceful online novel.
The child did not know what was on my mind, and he closed his mouth while hugging me tightly.
A soldier pointed his gun at the child, whose height did not even reach his waist.
Bang-
With the sound of the shot, I felt a shock that shook my body.
The child fell, and my vision tilted with him. He was hugging me and muttering: “I must... give her... Angel... Olivia....”
The child closed his eyes, and I wanted to scream, but I couldn't.
“Is he dead?”
“Definitely dead”
The soldier who fired carelessly lit a cigarette and told his comrades to leave first.
“Okay, we'll go downtown.”
“Fine, I'll follow them after I finish this.”
When the sounds of military boots went away, the man crushed his cigarette and began to carefully inspect the place.
“Baby, are you okay?”
The soldier carefully lifted the child. Just then, I saw the bullet embedded in the back of his hand. It appears that the bullet hit his hand.
“Oh, my God. Even a child like that should be killed.”
The soldier sighed and carefully hugged the child.
“I'll make sure to save you”
Then he ran somewhere, leaving me alone.
Ah, this is an impossible degree of difficulty. To be in an inanimate body? What do I do now? While I was staring at the sky in amazement, I heard a voice: “Hello!”
Suddenly, a handsome, smiling boy appeared in front of me.
