# Chapter 6
“G-marriage?”
The master asked in shock after coughing for a long time.
“In the family of Duke Mayus?”
"Yes."
When Judith answered, the Master could not hide his confusion and said:
“But… I think the son is still eight years old, right?”
“Not the son. Anyway, early marriage is legally prohibited, right?”
“But… I think the Duke and his wife have a very good relationship?”
“Not the Duke. After all, the Empire follows monogamy, right?”
“No, then...”
“With the young lord.”
“Wait, Madam Aylan. Now do you mean Ekian Mayus?”
"Yes."
Judith was not surprised by the Master's surprised reaction. She knows that announcing marriage to a missing person will not make sense to anyone.
Therefore, to avoid any unnecessary controversy, she said firmly:
“You said you don't know anything about Young Lord Eckian Maius, right? Then, continue not knowing.”
“But how can you marry a missing person?”
“It will happen.”
Judith said with a kind smile.
“Was my information wrong at any time?”
The Master returned to the Gray Information Guild in a state of confusion.
He staggered into his room, closed the door behind him, then sat down to laugh helplessly.
“Marrying Ekian Mayos?”
From their first meeting, she was an extremely strange and surprising woman. But lately, she has become more and more strange, as not a day goes by without shocking him with her words and sudden behavior.
Even though all the real bombs had been removed, he felt as if his mind had been blown up by an imaginary bomb.
From her implausible declaration that she loves Ekian Mayus, whom she has never spoken to, all the way to her decision to marry him.
“How can marriage be possible without a husband?”
The more he thought about it, the weirder it got.
Considering that today she went to Duke Maios' mansion, it seemed that she was seeking the approval of the Maios family. But is this possible?
Duke Mayus's family was a great noble, with power equal to that of the royal family. It was not a family she could manipulate or deceive.
From what he had seen all along, Judith Ilan was a good and fair woman. She was not the type of person who could defraud Duke Maios' family.
“That makes it even crazier.”
The Master muttered in a confused voice.
“Marrying the young lord? How is it possible…?”
In the empty room, the master took off his mask nervously. The mask, which covered his entire face up to the back of his head, fell with a soft sound.
His soft black locks poured out, like the night sky, revealing his smooth forehead, thick, well-groomed eyebrows, deep, cold-looking eyes, and a nose carved like a statue.
His eyes were a dark, blood-red color that matched his sharp jaw and delicately curved lips, giving his features an attractive harmony.
“How do you intend to marry me?”
(Lololololololoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo our)
The master, the master of the Gray Information Guild, was a mysterious figure.
Although he was in his late teens, he founded an information syndicate with his bare hands and controlled the entire underworld. His true appearance, which was not seen even by his closest associates, was a secret shrouded in mystery. No one knew that he was also a master of sword martial arts, although he never showed off his skills in public.
His true identity was Ekian Mayus himf.
The fifth anniversary of his escape from the Duke of Maios' palace approached, as he was considered missing from that moment on. After five full years of absence, he was about to be officially declared dead.
“This is right. There is no place for me in Duke Mayus’ family.”
Ekian closed his eyes, remembering the Duke, the Duchess, and his little brother, Karl.
“I must remain missing.”
If he does not disappear, the Duke and Duchess will not consider Karl the heir. Since his childhood, Ekian had great support from servants and advisors. If his death was not officially announced, there would be no way for him to relinquish the title of heir to Karl.
'There's not much left now, but… marriage? What's going on...?'
Ekian could not understand what was going through Judith Aylan's mind. All he could remember clearly were her confident words:
“Has my information ever been wrong?”
There was no official communication between Judith and Ekian. This was natural; When Ekian was in the house of the Duke of Maios, he hardly found time to meet with high-ranking nobles, and he hated social circles, so he did not mix with many people.
“In fact, Judith Ilan was one of the nobles who went into debt... Wait a minute.”
Finally, Ekian realized something important and placed his hand on his forehead.
So great was his shock at Judith's announcement that he completely forgot the original reason for his visit to her in the morning.
The purpose of his visit was originally to settle her personal debts for the price placed on his head!
He completely forgot to mention that.
Ekian has never experienced many situations in his life that confused him to such a degree that he forgot his goal.
Ekian looked at the clock and began to think:
“Going to her again now would be inappropriate. Perhaps at this time...”
'Maybe she is busy teaching now.'
Ekian was roughly familiar with Judith's daily schedule. She was living her life hard because of the debts that burdened her. Although she was able to pay the interest and live without accumulating more debt by ling the information to him, she needed to earn money to cover her living expenses.
Although she lives in a cheap hostel, she has to pay the rent and save money for the most basic needs like food and clothes.
So Judith usually worked as a visiting teacher, filling her days with teaching children. As she was the daughter of a noble family, she received a good education as a child, and apparently taught the children basic etiquette and culture efficiently.
'Most people would give up in her situation, but she is an amazing woman. Serious, positive, and never lose hope.'
Even though she was working hard, she couldn't even think about repaying the principal. However, Judith showed no signs of despair. She never complained to him about her condition.
She dealt with her life calmly and thoughtfully, as if she had a clear plan, and she moved forward with her diary in an organized manner. Her life may not be eventful, but its continuity is
Her steadfastness had left a deep impression on his mind.
'I'll go see her tomorrow. Or alternatively, since I've already thanked her, I'll invite her over. I will give her the check directly.'
As Ekian was organizing his plans for tomorrow, he suddenly realized that he had been thinking about her the whole time.
'Also, I will find out more about her plan to get married.'
'I have to ask her.'
He was unable to talk to Judith properly because of the investigator who came to ask her how she knew about the bomb. It was not appropriate for him to question her in a public place about this matter, so he had to go back without knowing the details.
So, he decided to invite her over and take the opportunity to talk more deeply when they were alone.
Ekian quickly took a quill pen and wrote a letter inviting Judith to come to the guild headquarters tomorrow if she had time. After completing the message, send it with an employee.
The next day, Judith did not arrive at the Gray Information Guild until well into the evening.
“I'm a little late, aren't I? I apologize.”
She looked so bright.
“I was returning from the Duke of Maios’ palace. I was planning to go two days later, but the Duchess hurriedly summoned me.”
Ekian was aware that she had been summoned to the palace of the Duke of Maios early in the morning. For this reason, he waited anxiously for her all day.
Because the palace of the Duke of Maios was the only place where Ekian could not introduce any of his sources.
Although he collected information from everywhere, he did not know what was happening inside that palace.
Even though he was running the Information Guild, he had completely excluded Duke Mayos' family from his plans, so as to leave no room for return or attachment.
“What have you been doing in the Duke’s Palace all day? I heard you’ve been there since dawn.”
“Oh, I was busy filling out marriage papers.”
"What…?"
“The marriage will most likely be registered tomorrow.”
Ekian felt like he had received a hard blow to the head.
He never imagined that his life would shock him like this...
“W-What… K-How…?”
“Since the matter will soon spread in the capital, I will inform you now in a friendly manner.”
said Judith cheerfully.
“Soon, Duke Maios will announce that I am pregnant with Ekian’s child.”
The moment Judith talked about registering the marriage, Ekian thought he couldn't be more surprised.
However, he immediately retracted that idea.
Because now he was even more astonished, one could even say that he was in a state of complete daze.
